Rating

Beginners Rating: 3 star

Buttermilk and Snowmass mountains are beginners’ and families’ heaven - both are forgiving and uncrowded with wide open gentle slopes which make learning to ski fun for everyone.

Intermediate Rating: 5 star

Intermediates will find it an absolute joy to discover the long cruising runs on Aspen Highlands, starting from the mid-mountain 'Merry Go Round' restaurant. Ajax Mountain also has a huge range of runs, all glorying in some of the most spectacular views in the Rockies and Snowmass has enough trails to exhaust the piste skier.

Expert Rating: 5 star

Expert skiers are sure to find challenges in abundance. Snowmass offers great tree skiing and oodles of off-piste powder, plus some wickedly steep chutes including The Hanging Valley Glades and the Cirque the longest lift served vertical rise in the USA. Ajax Mountain boasts a minefield of seriously exciting moguls and offers the most challenging skiing of all. Don’t forget - a Crystal Ski Escort will also be on hand in Aspen to guarantee you won’t miss out on anything.

Snowboard Rating: 4 star

Aspen Highlands has some amazing terrain, on a powder day head for Steeplechase before it's tracked, then check out Temerity back toward Highland Bowl. Freestyle action is at Snowmass - Trenchtown Snowboard Park or at Buttermilk - Crazy T'rain, the worlds longest terrain park, 2 miles long with beginner/intermediate park, super park, super pipe and 30 rails.
